![]() At first, I thought that the firmware had done something to the TV to reduce processing power to transcode so forked out for the Evolution kit (which supposedly ups the hardware performance!) That didn't fix anything. There has been a slew of firmware updates on the TV over the last 6 months. Also, if I watch the same video via a USB hard disk connected to the TV then I get a perfect experience - no buffering! I can watch the same video on the Xbox One and not see any buffering. The problem: Recently (over the last 3 months) the Plex TV App buffers most 1080p video content - all HD videos that are X265 tend to buffer every 2 minutes of playing (or so) and some X264 videos buffer. Xbox One is connected to the same router and HDMI's directly out to the TV The TV is separated by one wall to the router. The QNAP is hard wired to router, and router is WiFi AC with bandwidth not an issue. ![]() My set-up: I've got Plex running on my QNAP TS-569 Pro NAS (awesome bit of kit, if you're wondering) with a Samsung Smart TV (UE55ES8000) connected via WiFi. ![]()
